Lakes dot the landscape out

\nHomes and trees not natural fill
\nthe rolling plains.
\nThis is where man lives
\nSafe, flat, wet, and full of food

Hills, enclose the plains, covered in
\ntrees born to thrive in high dusty earth
\nRocks proclaim a harshness untamed, untarnished.
\nHard. Rough. Wild
\nThis is where we flee to.<\/p>\n

A few hours or miles wandering in
\ncanopied wonder. A world of which we
\nare very much a part yet in which we
\ncannot remain.
\nWe return to our home. Where
\nfood and rock are soft.
\nThat is where we live,
